What is the JEAP?
The Junior Educator Affiliates Programme (JEAP) is a peer mentorship programme that aims to bring together Teaching Assistants and Instructors from across the university to support their growth and development as educators.
CTLT selects outstanding Teaching Assistants and Instructors to become Junior Educator Affiliates (JEAs). Our JEAs are more than happy to bring their firsthand teaching experience, insights, and practical advice to share with their peers.
JEAs also conduct events for fellow Teaching Assistants and Instructors, that encourage the exchange of ideas, foster effective teaching practices, and contribute to a supportive teaching community in the university.
Curious to learn more about the JEAP programme? Join us at this sharing session conducted by the JEAP Facilitators! We will walk you through:
- How to receive mentorship from our experienced Junior Educator Affiliates – be it through a casual Coffee Chat, observing the JEA’s teaching in a Watch and Learn, or inviting them into your classroom for a Formative Teaching Consult.
- How to become a JEAP mentor — and what the role entails
