This two-day interactive workshop empowers educators to explore the effective use of AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, in course design. Participants will reflect on the affordances and constraints of GenAI in teaching and learning, considering how it can support and enhance instructional practices. The workshop focuses on developing AI-integrated learning assessments and activities that promote active learning, critical thinking, and deeper student engagement.
Through collaborative discussions and hands-on activities, participants will engage in constructive feedback and peer exchange, sharing insights on AI’s role in education. By the end of the workshop, participants will design either an AI-integrated activity or an AI-enhanced assessment, ready for implementation in their courses.
By the end of the module, participants should be able to:
Practice using different prompt engineering techniques
Reflect on the affordances and constraints of GenAI
Enhance the course enhancement process with the use of ChatGPT as assistant
Develop AI-integrated learning assessments and activities
Engage in constructive feedback and exchange with colleagues about course design and the use of GenAI
