Producing Engaging Self-recorded Videos with AI-powered Tools - Feb CPD

Producing Engaging Self-recorded Videos with AI-powered Tools

AI-powered tools are available to increase the efficiency of producing self-recorded videos. Despite their availability, many faculty members are unaware of the transformative potential these tools. Join us for a two-hour session aimed at enhancing both your pedagogical repertoire and technical skills. Besides elaborating on storyboarding, we will showcase a variety of AI-powered tools, demonstrating their capabilities in enhancing scripts, text-to-voice generation, image creation, and audio enhancement. Join us for this two-hour workshop that will make also help you develop efficient workflows in your video production.
Experiment with GenAI Learn, Try and Apply - Feb CPD

Experiment with GenAI: Learn, Try and Apply

This beginner-level workshop introduces participants to text-based Generative AI (GenAI) tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot. The session focuses on ChatGPT for hands-on activities, beginning with a brief demonstration to showcase its potential and offering practical tips on effective prompt engineering. Participants will engage in self-paced, hands-on practice to explore and experiment with GenAI functionalities according to their use cases. Facilitators will be on hand throughout the workshop to provide guidance and address individual questions. The workshop concludes with a reflection activity, where participants can discuss potential applications of GenAI in their personal or professional contexts and access shared resources to continue their exploration.
AI-infused Course Enhancement Module - Feb CPD

AI-infused Course Enhancement Module

This two-day interactive workshop empowers educators to explore the effective use of AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, in course design. Participants will reflect on the affordances and constraints of GenAI in teaching and learning, considering how it can support and enhance instructional practices. The workshop focuses on developing AI-integrated learning assessments and activities that promote active learning, critical thinking, and deeper student engagement. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on activities, participants will engage in constructive feedback and peer exchange, sharing insights on AI’s role in education. By the end of the workshop, participants will design either an AI-integrated activity or an AI-enhanced assessment, ready for implementation in their courses. By the end of the module, participants should be able to: Practice using different prompt engineering techniques Reflect on the affordances and constraints of GenAI Enhance the course enhancement process with the use of ChatGPT as assistant Develop AI-integrated learning assessments and activities Engage in constructive feedback and exchange with colleagues about course design and the use of GenAI
